Fun Stuff

This morning I put Carmen down on the floor with some toys while I was making breakfast, I checked on her several minutes later and she had already rolled to the opposite side of the room, she is quick! Only about 10 minutes later she was back across the room almost into the kitchen. This was exactly what Lilli started doing only a few weeks before she started walking. Lilli never crawled and I think Carmen will be the same way.
Carmen's new food to try this week was applesauce, she LOVES it! She gulps it down like Lilli gobbles cheese!

Lilli has been hanging out in the stroller a lot these days.

Look at those pearly whites!

I can tell spring is here because Lilli has gone on her 2nd annual clothing strike. She only put her jacket on because I was putting a sweater on Carmen because it was a little chilly today. (I think she thought we were going somewhere!)

Lilli has been saying the cutest things lately:
At the grocery store I gave Carmen a sock to keep her busy (don't worry, it was hers!) She loves chewing on them! It got lost in the cart and when we were unloading at the checkout Lilli found it she said :"oh no! baby sock."

After church today I was giving Lilli something to eat because dinner wasn't quite ready, I asked her what she wanted and she said "ice cream." She always knows when there is some in the freezer. (Good thing it isn't often or she would never calm down!)

Eric was asleep on the couch and Lilli went over to him with half of her orange and said "Daddy, here you go"

Lilli got a blue puppy from Aunt Marianne for Christmas, she has recently really discovered it. She won't go to sleep at night without "puppy." There have been a couple of nights that we either couldn't find him or she was misbehaving and I took him away, she cried in her room calling for "puppy." I guess Mr. Fuzzy bear moved down in the ranks, but he hasn't been quite as soft since we had to wash him after he was a victim of Lilli's flu bug last year...

Lilli is completely overjoyed (to put it lightly!) that Carmen is starting to respond to her. The other day she got a blanket and put it over her and Carmen, I guess it was a "fort". I think she knows in not to long Carmen will make a great little playmate.

Oh and one other exciting item of news:

My sister Jeanne received her mission call to Tacoma Washington, she enters the MTC May 19th . We are so excited for her. Jeanne has a pretty interesting story, she never intended to serve a mission but last fall as she was trying to decide what to do/where to go after graduating from Utah State she received a strong impression that she should serve a mission, so that's what she's doing! She's older then most sisters that go but that's the joy of being a sister, you can go anytime you want after you're 21 if you're single. Jeanne is a great girl and will make a great missionary! Between Jeanne and Marianne I can't wait for the blessings to come pouring down!
