One downer we have discovered to living in an old house is that mice have plenty of places to hide, so they wreak havoc and then disappear almost as quickly. grrrWhen we first moved in they were everywhere, we actually caught all of them with snap and glue traps (they wouldn't touch the poison, which was actually okay with me because I don't like having it around, Lilli is just to smart and always seems to find these type of things).
Anyway, a little while later we had another outbreak, and once again managed to catch them all..except this one mouse who until yesterday had been evading capture for the last 6 months at least (yes, he can eat cheerios off a mouse trap and a glue trap).
Yesterday as I was standing in the kitchen he got a little to brave and walked by me rather slowly. I caught his tail with one foot and very carefully with my other foot I covered his head ( I didn't want a nasty mess). To tell you the truth I thought it was a less traumatic death then a glue trap... so that's what happens when a little brave mouse pushes one to many buttons on an already angry housewife!
(As mad as I was it was still soo nasty and I hope to never do it again!)

Ahh! You are so brave! I don't think I could ever do that in a million years. haha.
You are brave! I would have probably ended up standing on a chair for the next five hours waiting for Glenn to get home!
Wow, you are a far braver women than I. I love the picture you put on the post though, the cute little mouse just didn't know what got him!
Was it one of those huge mice again?
Which do you think would be worse, mice in the house or a hundreds of snakes in the basement? (remember that?)
I know, I made Todd kill all the mice in our motorhome. I was proud when I didn't scream when I saw one. I almost picked one up when I was reaching for something else. YUCK!! But we survived.
That is funny. I would never do that. Good for you to catch that sneaky little bugger
eeeewwww! Can't understnad the reason for having them on Earth! remember when you were little and were afraid of mice getting in? Or was that just Katie? Yeah, we live in an old house too! LOL
I think you need a kittykat!!! :) Let the cat do all the work, and bring you the reward (you know, the intestines, heart, etc.).
This is exactly what I am afraid of...a mouse...well most things of nature kinda scare me. I keep telling Brad I don't want mice in our house whereever we go, but it seems inevitable b/c the houses are all old and the mouses have just been around longer. I would have ran out of the house screaming and the neighbors would have thought something horrible had happened. You are one tough cookie in my book!
Yuck!I can totally understand. I am having mouse issues as we speak. It seems like there are all these never ending little places the creep into. Although you are more woman than me! The other day I found a mouse in my favorite pitcher. It was trapped I screamed ran across the room and let Alex finsih the nasty little thing off. I don't think we will ever use the pitcher again.(sigh)anyway good luck. (katie at mom's house)
