All in a day..or two

Since our zoo pass expires in just a few more weeks we decided to take a day and spend all the time it took to see everything we hadn't seen before. We had such a great time. We went early so the crowds didn't start to hit until right before we left. Afterwards we decided we still had enough time to drive over to Reading and scope out our future home. What a gorgeous area, I am so excited to live there for a year!



Eric and I decided some things at the zoo remind us of Yellowstone/Grand Teton National Park. People will stop and stare at anything that's new and exciting. In the park they have what we've always called "bear jams." If one person thinks they see something (moose, bear, cow..)then they stop and before you know it everyone driving by stops to look and it's impossible to get by because they stop in the middle of the road and don't even attempt to park!
We were walking by this peacock with a couple of other people when he decided to let out his fan. A few minutes later when we walked by again there were about thirty people there looking and crowding the sidewalk. Good times!


These golden lion tamarins (monkeys) were so cool! I didn't get a terribly good picture because they jumped around to quick. But they really did look like tiny lions!

The fountain felt so nice.

Eric decided to pose by the pig, we decided he was one of those "forgotten" exhibits.

We had a hard time getting Lilli to look at the camera, the giraffe was way to exciting!

We love the avian center. It's fun to see the birds fly free.

I don't remember the name of this monkey, but it sure could jump! We got to watch the trainer feed it.

The "Big Cat Falls" is pretty sweet.

I was amazed we got this close and he didn't even move!

Gotta love fun outings!

This bird was seriously a few feet from me.

It was cool to look at the leopard without a tall fence or glass barrier, all there was between us was a single line electric fence.

Mmm, Lilli and I made brownies that we were supposed to take to the zoo. But they were so good we ended up eating them all on Friday!

All this girl needs is 5 minutes alone and she can figure out any obstacle in the way of what she wants! She pulled the diaper genie from the bathroom to the hall closet, stood on it, and unlatched the door. She then proceeded to paint her fingernails (which remarkably she actually did!) only she didn't just have it on her nails. I was a little too upset to get a picture of that one. But an hour later when she climbed into my dresser and got the mascara I was actually pretty impressed that she got it into her eyelashes so I got the Kodak moment.


Eric told me about these when he went out to Reading for his interview. It reminded us of the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant (where the Simpson's live!) It does look kinda freaky right there next to the "Philadelphia Premium Outlets!"
