When we were first married Eric was cleaning carpet and he had a super old tv (made sometime in the 1970's) given to him. We've carted it all over the place, not wanting to just toss something that worked. Plus, well, it's cool.
Well it has slowly diminished in it's abilities...about a year ago it stopped "doing nights" any dark scene you just couldn't see anything...I crashed a lot playing mario cart because I couldn't see the road... Anyway after almost 9 years of service for our family the old tv decided it was done.
With tax season upon us and various other responsibilities that we have a new tv is just not  an option at the moment, but I must admit, being tv free for almost a week now has been great! Less squabbling among the kids, they are actually playing together with very little fighting, and with the warmer weather we've been going outside a lot. I love it!

Choo Choo Train is another great form of entertainment for the kids while I'm mopping the kitchen floor...

What is it with some kids and the floor? Jared is constantly dragging his seven blankets in and laying down by the refrigerator! Of course since I don't want him laying on a dirty floor it gives me reason to mop regularly!
