Nature..or Nurture

I have wondered about Jared a lot. Since he is my only boy and is surrounded by girly things, he actually enjoys watching strawberry shortcake and playing with dolls with Carmi! We've made a point to get him little boy things so he has more options of things to play with. He loves his collection of John Deere tractors and plastic farm animals, but still I wonder.
Several months ago I was called into the nursery at our church (class for 18 months to 3 year olds) and we have quite the group of little boys. He plays with them fine, but last Sunday I saw him rock a baby and put her in her bed (so adorable, I think he will be a great Dad!!)
Well this morning I came to realize that he is most definitely a little boy when I saw him take a Lalaloopsy doll and attempt to pull off her head! What is it about boys and their desire to pull things apart? Hahaha!!

A little hot cocoa on a chilly day..
Apparently Lilli thought she would spread the love to her t-shirt. She is such a wild thing!

Nadia is still our little rock star and definitely the most favorite in the house. She is constantly receiving kisses from all three siblings!

Just had to take this photo op, too cute not too!

I especially love how he fell asleep on the tractor!
The ever popular cabbage hats...
Lilli likes to dress Nadia up...

After an extremely rough 10 days with a cold and teething combined (and very little sleep) we finally got this girl to smile again!

Our little singer. Carmi will just burst into song at any given moment. Her most recent favorite is "once there was a snowman."
Carmi is turning out to be one of my most stubborn children, and I never thought Lilli's record would be beat.
Lilli and Carmi dislike onions with a passion. The other night we told the girls they couldn't leave the table or have another slice of bread until they finished their soup (a very measly 1/2 a cup). Lilli complained a little bit, but eventually ate all of hers. Carmi sat there for an hour, and by this time it was bedtime. So she she went without an extra slice of bread that night.
The next day for lunch we served her another bowl of soup. This girl sat at the kitchen table for a record breaking 4 1/2 hours refusing to eat her soup because it had onions in it. The first 2 1/2 weren't too bad, I was at the table sewing while she sat there so I don't think she minded to much. We tried everything to get her to eat. Giving the other kids treats in front of her, telling her she wouldn't get pizza for dinner if she didn't finish...to no avail.
Things got a little crazy when the other kids sat down to watch a cartoon in the next room. Carmi sat at the table crying, and I think that's when she realized she needed to finish. So she finally did, with a lot of coaxing, water, and Mom taking a couple of bites. Whew!
Had to snap a pic of Jared's little cute toes...

Lilli went back to school today. As crazy as it has been at home the past few weeks with all four kids I still felt kinda lonely after she left. I guess I love my kids huh?
We have some terrific neighbour kids that come and pick her up since her stop is about 4 houses down from us right in front of their house. This morning it was 0 when she left. Brrr
