Carmen's Blessing Day

I always have good intentions, so I guess that's what matters right?! It was going to be perfect, a beautiful picture of Carmen in her dress, another one with her and Lilli, then one of all of us...well I couldn't get pictures before church because it was a rush to get everyone ready (by myself, Eric had ward counsel), race to the church ( of course we were 15 minutes late for 20 minute choir practice).
When we got home after church all I could think about was getting food for Lilli. To late I realized I should have taken off her Sunday dress before she covered herself with pasta salad..oh well.. by the time I got her changed and came back downstairs Eric was about 70% asleep on the couch. I woke him up to take a picture of the three of us. Carmen chose this time to not be happy.. so this is what we ended up with:
(Note: All pictures were taken as I sat on the pilates ball in effort to cheer Carmen up!)

Still it was a wonderful day, Eric gave Carmen a beautiful blessing (yes, I was crying).
I so love my family!!

Today was definately bittersweet, I've been in RS for the past year and a half almost, first I was secretary, then Spiritual Progression Counselor (3rd Counselor). It has been both rewarding and trying as well. Nonetheless it has been a wonderful experience, I have become a better person through service and associating with wonderful women. I was released today to be the new ward organist. I am excited for this new calling, but sad to leave the other behind.

What a pretty dress. I wish some of us could have been there...You will do so good on the organ!!! Lee and Angie didn't get any better pictures of Paislee and thenselves really than yoou did, at first. Angie did some later, so maybe you guys could do that for home evening or something...get all dress up and take pictures, or have a friend come and take them.... I bet it's beautiful there this time of year. ♥

Carmen looked so beautiful in her little dress. Baby blessing days are so special, even if you don't have 'THE' picture to show it. :) We've done some pictures afterwards too, like the following Sunday when it wasn't so crazy. :) Congrats on the new calling, you'll do great!
