I most definitely have the big bump going on, it's crazy to me how fast this pregnancy has gone. As my friend Amy put it, "you don't have time to think about it because you're so busy chasing Lilli around!" Which is the absolute truth.
The past couple of weeks I've had a lot of Braxton-hicks going on, not very fun. Even though it should be nothing to worry about..well..I still worry. I also noticed that the contractions were directly proportionate to my stress levels. Decreasing my stress, well that has not been easy! But after realizing that was the problem and making a conscience effort to a) let things go that I didn't need to really worry about, and b)cutting out unnecessary activities, etc. has helped a lot.
On a better note...between my last two dr. appointments I actually gained the right amount of weight! Not to much, not to little. I figured out if I stay on this current pattern I will gain about 15 lbs less then I did with Lilli! Yay! So I will only be 5 pounds over the recommended amount of weight gain. I am hoping that will also mean an 7-8 lb baby rather then 10!
This past week Eric had two days off from school, it was a lifesaver for him and lots of fun for us. Lilli was happy beyond words that Dad was home for a few extra days, but this also meant she didn't want to take a nap, but when you have as much energy as she does it wasn't hard to talk her out of that one. Only about 10 minutes of crying before she would go to sleep!
My Silly Girl!!
All ready for a diaper change!
Recently she has shown another step towards potty training! Which is exciting for me! She knows when she is wet, etc. and will go and get all the stuff for me and actually lay down and wait. She has a fascination for the changing pad we use when we're not home if there is no changing table. Also notice the pink pajamas, she LOVES them! She gets really excited for bedtime when you tell her "Let's go get your fuzzy bear, pink blanket, and pink jammies." I think she would wear them all day if she could.

Shoes anyone?
Lilli is such a girl, what else can I say! She has been learning about how to put on her shoes and socks, but this is not limited to just hers!
We have had a ton of rain the past couple of weeks, very nice! I am hoping it will help to not have so many heat waves this summer (or at least not as severe!) Lilli of course had a ball in the puddles as you can see. I really need to get her some gum boots or something waterproof. But she definitely wasn't happy to have her favorite shoes sitting out of reach (but still in view)for the next couple of days as they dried off. I think "Perturbed" is a good word for it!
I'm sorry this picture is so dark, but it was taken on the subway so it's to be expected I suppose. Lilli had a lot of fun with her Dad coming home from the Phils game Friday night. It was actually quite impressive that she was able to hold onto the bar and hold herself up all by herself. (Don't worry, Eric's hands were just inches away!)
She has also been picking up on more and more things Eric and I do. Including sitting on the couch with me and making me put my feet in her lap. Her newest word is "hello," and it's not just the simple hello, it's very stretched out, so it's more like heelllooooo! I'll try to get it on the camera, it's pretty cute! She also recognizes all forms of cheese (her favorite food!). The other day when we approached the cheese section in the grocery store she got soo excited, and kept repeating her garbled pronunciation of cheese over and over!
