Eric had his birthday the day before Carmi;s (We celebrated early so we could spend the day with him on one of his days off) We had a princess cake. It was good, it was also one of those cakes that was even better several days later!
Lilli the Tiger
One of our many trips to Walmart...we don't pass up opportunities like this often. Or a stop at the scented candle wax bin...heheNadia the Panda
And Jared the Panther
Carmi was off in the store birthday shopping with Grandma and Grandpa.
This particular weekend was a long one. We left Friday morning, drove right outside Lincoln Nebraska to our campground. Oh and stopped along the way to get more passport stamps. We spent Saturday, Sunday and Monday gathering stamps and various other activities. We arrived home Monday night. It was fun, but we were all really happy to get home.
This is at the state capital building. It was so cool.
Nadia posing...it's times like this I wish I had a better zoom!
Someone down there...I think it's Jared..maybe?
There were tons of mural inside. I really liked the train.
Jared taking a rest. We went up and down a lot of stairs.
Here is where press conferences are held I assume.
Lilli would like to be governor. I am also pretty sure she would like to run a small country...or maybe even a big one!
Lilli and a tortoise. Carmi also found a butterfly (but that's on Eric's phone..which is not here right now)
Posing as Native American's (Lilli wasn't thrilled to be in her position)
Just to break the monotony.
We took an elevator to I think the 14th floor...the observation deck was closed but I snapped a picture through the window to give an idea of the view. The building is super tall, but most of that is the amazed tower.
Of course we stopped at goodwill in Lincoln. Lilli found these gems!
She and I both share a love for shiny things!
We stopped at The great platte river road archway (This massive bridge that goes over the interstate). They had a fun maze that the kids went through quite a few times, then we walked across the river. The kids had fun throwing some food to the carp in the river below. They were enormous, and clustered like crazy when the food started coming.
Then of course we had to stop at Goodwill in Grand Island, NE!
And there is a really cute slightly baldy man making sure all his game pieces are intact.
Anyway after all our stamp collecting we got 43 stamps, enough for t-shirts for each of the kids, a Nebraska 150 mug (we are celebrating 150 years of statehood this year) and a Bakers Chocolate gift box (mmm).
Just in time for school to start this thursday! Jared is in 1st, Carmi in 3rd and Lilli in 4th.
