I definitely had a sewing triumph with Lilli and Carmi's costumes! Go me! (Oh and Eric, for the inspiration behind the turtle costume!)
Our take on strawberry shortcake. The hat is called a newsboy hat, SO easy to sew. I think it's the only project I've ever made that I didn't have to unpick!
Of course halloween has to include pumpkins! Jared has really been into pumpkins this year, he even asked me about three months ago if he could have a pumpkin for christmas!
I was pretty proud of my "spider" mouth pumpkin..

Lilli designed hers, and Dad cut it out for her.
Carmi with her heart eyes and nose pumpkin.
Halloween night ended up being super cold. We went over to some friends who had a party. Their two children are Jared and Nadia's ages. We had to cut trick or treating short because one of the kids fell and I forgot Nadia's gloves so she had two little blocks of ice for hands. But she sure loved her plastic pumpkin. She didn't really care about what was inside it, she just wanted to hold on to it. I finally got it away from her so I could warm up her poor little hands. It was a fun evening. Between the school trunk or treat, the ward trunk or treat and Halloween night I think we have enough candy to last until Christmas!
