We decided to drive on the interstate to get to Sedalia, MO this year. We turned off to drive a scenic route about halfway there so Eric could show us where he went deer hunting last fall, but unfortunately we ran into an extremely flooded closed road (I should have taken a picture, it was impressively scary) so we had to backtrack to get to another road. So it ended up taking a lot longer to get there, but that was okay.
Lilli was overjoyed to see a
Jared was to busy looking at the tractor to get his picture taken!
Milking the cow was a big hit.
Carmi and her cow hat, she didn't keep in on very long.
Lilli enjoyed hers, but I think she kept it on as long as she did to keep up with Jared! Hehe
Jared kept his on the longest. He looked so cute wandering around with it on.
I thought it looked really creepy, but Lilli loved it of course.
Nadia fell asleep. I felt really bad that we had left home without her blanket. She looked so uncomfortable, which was probably why she didn't sleep long.
Some more tractors. When we were driving home that night we asked all the kids what their favorite thing was, and Jared said "the tractors!"
I love old cars, especially the ones with the fins! This particular one belonged to the highway patrol.
I didn't take a picture, but last year we stumbled onto a stage where a bluegrass band was performing, they were hilarious, and the music was awesome. We were so excited to find them again this year! The Sweeney Family Band. They remind me a lot of the Bar J Wranglers in Jackson Wyoming. Fun stuff!
