So we do not have a "gardening friendly" backyard. But I have been itching to use the canning equipment I got for my birthday to make some delicious salsa, plus homegrown tomatoes are just so delicious! So we used pots and got all creative in the front yard.
The kids have had a blast helping to water all summer. Lilli was especially excited to see the sunflower get taller then her!
Jared has a plastic bowl he always brings out and has me fill it with water for him to help.
This is our "Carmen" Pepper. That actually is the brand name! Awesome.
Also behind the girls is our "wall of tomatoes." Eric was taking a walk one night and saw a bunch of tomato plants that someone had grown from seed and ended up with more then they needed. So we planted them along the top of the retaining wall and are guiding them to grow over the edge.
