Easter Festivities

Eric and I were so excited for easter this year. I think it's because we had such a long cold winter. Anyway Eric looked at multiple tutorials and made three baskets, they turned out super cute. We got Jared, Lilli, and Carmi each something they could play with outside along with the usual chocolate bunnies and eggs, etc.
We also decided that it was important to start separating the easter bunny and the resurrection. So on Friday we had an easter egg hunt with just the plastic eggs, then saturday we had another easter egg hunt, this time including  the eggs we dyed. It was so great watching the kids excitement. Jared especially loved it. (And Eric and I enjoyed deviled eggs for several days as well!!)

Then on Sunday we had a special family home evening and talked about the Resurrection. It was a great weekend. I love Easter and the hope it brings to all of us. Here are two links to my favorite easter messages. I listen to both of these many more times then just once a year. I don't think I can find the words to describe my feelings concerning my knowledge of life after death and the resurrection. I love our Father in Heaven and the Savior, I know they know us all personally and love us no matter our weaknesses.
