Easter 2012

We decided to make it an extra long easter weekend. We left for Spokane on Thursday the 5th of April and stayed until Monday the 9th. The first thing I noticed after going over Snoqualmie pass was the sun, it was SO bright! In fact, it took me several days to be able to go outside and even see anything without my sunglasses. I guess I have gotten used to the gray overcast skies...somewhat!
Just a fun shot of Jared
We stopped at the "Wild Horse Monument" so I could feed Jared. Lilli was asleep so Carmi and Eric got out and had some fun.
They picked a few flowers and took a little walk up toward the monument. They didn't go all the way since it's a pretty big hike and we were just there for a few minutes.
Several weeks ago we switched Jared's seat into the middle. It has been great! Lilli and Carmi can't squabble, and they both do a great job of keeping Jared happy.
Yup, Burger King crowns
After a little adjusting Carmi's crown was no longer around her neck.
We had an easter egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa's with all ten grandchildren. Even Jared got a basket!
Lilli was a remarkable egg hunter!
Jared and I found some good ones.
Carmi found the coveted silver egg, lots of extra goodies in that one!
They divided up the kids by age to different sides of the house so the little ones would all have a chance. Our eggs were pretty easy to find. The older kids took a lot longer!
Carmi and her vampire chocolate!
They had hidden some of the eggs before lunch in the rock bed and we had quite the challenge keeping the kids from gathering them. The funniest part was that once the hunt was underway Lilli was the only one that remembered them!
Jared and Grandma Turnidge
Lawnmower rides with Grandpa!
Lilli could hardly wait for her turn.
On Monday as we were getting ready to leave the girls went out to enjoy the beautiful day! They went "fishing" in a bucket of water with their sticks.
And Jared just soaked up the sun and probably had a little nibble of his stick!
