Commuting...

Monday morning Eric started his residency. He left at 6 AM to get to his orientation by 7:30. He decided leaving at 6 everyday was a good time since there was no risk of running into traffic and just in case there was an accident or something he would have that extra half hour (since the clinic opens at 8) to still arrive on time.

We found out the sign on bonus comes with Eric's first paycheck on October 1st. So we are going to be in Philly for another two weeks (we plan on moving the 2nd). We thought we found a house to rent, it was super cute, three bedrooms, washer and dryer, awesome porch..seriously everything we could want. But then after plugging our monthly income into a calculator to figure out how many taxes would be taken out we realized the house was a little out of our range. So sad :(. We have been super spoiled being in the house the last three years, we are used to a lot of room. We finally realized we needed to consider a regular apartment, like we had before. Once we realized that a lot of good options have shown up. Everyday during his lunch break Eric has been calling apartments. He called one on Tuesday and they were having a fall special, usually their 2 bedrooms are around $850, but they were closer to $750, which is a fabulous deal. He went and looked yesterday and liked the apartments. They don't have a washer and dryer in the apartment, but every building has a laundry room in the basement, which will be nice. (I told him it's not like a laundromat where Lilli can dash out the door into the street!) So as long as we are "approved" that's where we will be headed. The apartment is in Shillington, PA, a quick and easy drive for Eric to get to work. And it's a super nice area, with grocery stores really close! If we don't get into this one we will probably still end up in that area.

There is a dentist Eric works (they have several from the community that come in to supervise) with that does little "classes" at his house and includes dinner. Last night the class was on implants, so Eric decided to go. It went a lot longer then he thought and he didn't get home until 10 last night. But it's good that he can have these experiences.
Lilli has been asking where Eric is every morning when she gets up, I would say "Daddy's at work" and she finally picked up on it. She says about 100 times a day "Daddy at work" and "Daddy took the car." The girls have been a lot of fun all week. The weather has been fabulous so we've been outside on the porch a lot. We are looking forward to moving so we can see Eric a little more though!
