Good Stuff

It finally happened! Lilli is now able to open the refrigerator, this is what she did (as well as dropping an egg to see what would happen!) I didn't get a picture of that one, I was not very happy with her. But she did go and retrieve my water bottle for me, which was really cute.

Yay! I think this is the best smile we've caught on film so far!

Lilli went upstairs the other day and apparently decided it was time to change clothes because she came down with a new shirt and pants, I decided to let her put them on because she went through the effort to go get them.

Don't they match just perfect! haha
Lilli has really been moving along in her speech, any worries I've had about her hearing are all gone! Her latest words are "oh, no!"and "Here you go." She has also gotten really good at the sounds of letters. If you ask her to say a word she can actually say enough of it for you to understand. It's exciting to see her progressing.
She has also decided that she needs to feed Carmen, except when Carmen fails to "drink" from the sippy cup she shakes it on her face. Carmen was not very happy to get a face full of orange juice.

This week has been pretty crazy, Eric flew to Salt Lake City on Wednesday and then drove to a residency interview at ISU in Pocatello, ID. He is headed to Salt Lake City again next week for an interview at the University of Utah. We will know by the end of January if we got into a program. If we didn't then the job hunt will begin.
I didn't realize to what extent Lilli loves her Dad, she has really missed him a lot, and has been really grumpy the last couple of days. I suppose it's hard when they are young and time seems to go slow, I talked to her about where he was going and told her he would be back soon, but I don't know how much she understood. I can't wait to see her face in the morning when she sees her Dad!
We are very quickly finishing up the remainder of home improvements. We talked to a Realtor and will be putting the house on the market at the beginning of January.

I'm grateful today for modern conveniences! Like a car, a heated house, a refrigerator...

Your kids are so cute!! Good luck with the school hunting and getting your house sold. Reva and Joey have to lock there fridge at times to keep Kalli out. She does good most of the time though, I think. Love Susan and Walter

Neither Creed no Logan opens the fridge yet.....
But Creedy has an antenna or something and KNOWS when someone else opens it, he's right there trying to pull everything out! A person almost doesn't have enough hands sometimes to keep up with a two yr old!
I love Carmen's smile! And Lilli just flat out charms me. I feel so badly sometimes that so many miles are between you and your folks.....I know how I missed my babies when they were far away, and none of them were too far I couldn't get in my car and drive there. BUT I know it won't always be this far.......maybe huh.
SO, because I can't remember...or don't know....tell me, what program is Eric trying to get into??? My kids used to miss their dad so much that sometimes when I was at my mom's house in Idaho, I would have to come home earlier than I had planned because they were so sad without him. This is not a bad thing, for kids to need their dads so much! Totally makes you see why so many many families are floundering huh. The traditional family is almost no more.........well anyway enough of that.....LOL
Good luck on with selling your home. Probably brings some bittersweet feeling.

Take care of yourselves. Love you all
