Jared is still our little monkey, his favorite thing recently is climb to the third shelf of our bookshelf and pull down whatever is there....usually Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty (the two most watched movies in the house), various books, and Mario Kart or Wii Sports Resort.
Of course most of the time these climbing adventures end up in some sort of fall (yep, lots of goose eggs and bruises)
Lilli has recently started enjoying wii video games a lot. She plays swordfighting, bowling, and skydiving to name a few. It's pretty entertaining watching her, she is extremely competitive and I think sometimes comes really close to breaking a sweat. She is definitely going to be the sporty girl in the family. Tennis lessons here we come! She's always asking me if I want to play mario kart, so she can pick out the character and the car and be my coach (I'm not very good, I guess I really need one!)
We have an old ikea shelf, one of the remaining pieces of furniture from dental school days that we have always managed to make room for in our many moves. We keep all our plants on it, and stuff on top..well mostly another "junk drawer" for me. The kids love the bottom, they can often be found there looking out the window, using it as a hard surface to draw/color, or to make a bed! Carmi drags in all the blankets off her bed and lays on it.
Jared and pens....ahhhh. I have tried and tried to get this boy to find excitement in crayons but with no luck! He loves pens. (Hence scribbles on the walls and furniture because he is the next Michaelangelo!!)
I came back from grocery shopping and was putting things away. One of the bags was on the floor so Jared crawled into it. How cute is that?
Lets eat some chicken nuggets while sitting in a bag shall we?
Eric's old camera from his mission has been floating around and Carmi has taken a real liking to it. She's always telling me to say "cheese" I've thought about getting some film for it, just to show the kids what we used before the digital age really took over! (I can't wait until they are teenagers and we try to explain to them what a vhs or cassette tape is!! I guess even now CD's are not even as common as they used to be! haha)
And finally, the promised pictures of Carmi losing her tooth. We ended up never finding it, but the tooth fairy came anyway.
Today Carmi asked me where Dad was. I responded with my usual answer "at work" then I asked her what Dad did at work, and she said "he goes to get me some ice cream, ice cream is yummy!" She definitely loves it (but who doesn't!) the last few nights when I'm tucking her in she will say "Mommie, can I have some ice cream in the morning" we decided quite some time ago that we would only have ice cream on birthdays and select special occasions (just because if it's in the house I eat it and I eat WAY to much!) So I usually just tell her when the next birthday in the house is.
My sweet daughter, she knows how to make me feel happy. She always tells me I'm cute (which is exactly what I need to hear seeing as I'm over 8 months pregnant, and I'm down to one sunday dress, one pair of pants, and about three shirts that really fit comfortably!)
I'm definitely ready for Nadia to make her appearance, and lets hope it's right on time (three weeks from Monday or sooner! *crossing fingers*), and a quick delivery. I still have low platelets and so I will not be able to have an epidural (which I wasn't planning on having anyway, Jared's delivery was SO much better without one!) but because of that my doctor does not want to induce, because I would have a real problem if I ended up with another 12+ hour labor!
