Would You Could You In a Box?

Oops, has it really been more then a week since my last post? Things are good over in our neck of the woods. The horribly long summer drought finally ended, unfortunately not soon enough to save all the crops :( But it did cool down. We've had a fair amount of rain that lasted longer then 20 minutes, a couple of hot days where it was close to 100 but the past four or five days it cooled off enough that we could turn off the AC and have the attic fan on at night. :)
Lilli asked for spaghetti for her birthday dinner (JUST spaghetti that is) She prefers plain pasta. The kids enjoyed themselves a little to much while I was making the sauce. Actually it was more of Jared stealing Carmen's...
Hey at least it was in the box and not in the carpet right?
We put up our tent in the living room to air it out. It hasn't been set up in about 6 years and it still had that musty smell from our basement in Philly.  The kids had a blast! And after about two hours it smelled like a tent again!
Carmi had her popcorn!
Tonight I was getting Carmi ready for bed and she started singing a song they had sung in nursery today, it took me a minute to figure out what it was but I finally did so I could sing it with her.
Rain is falling all around
On the housetops on the ground
Rain is falling on my nose
On my head and hands and toes (this is her favorite part)
This little girl LOVES singing! She's always the one to go turn on the radio and start dancing. The other day she actually got Jared to dance along with her, they really got down!
Lilli, well she just had a grand adventure cause well that's what she is all about...lots of fun and excitement (oh and winning, she turns everything they do into a game and she has to win...this gets a little interesting sometimes)

A week or so ago Lilli went to a birthday party for a little girl in her primary class (there are like 10 girls in this class!) Lilli's teacher has a little girl her age and apparently they were playing together at the party (it was held at a place with TONS of those bouncy houses). Lilli came home from the party and a little later that night we were talking and she said she was sad at the party because she couldn't find her friend. I asked her if she just went and played with the other kids. Then she said "My teacher's kid didn't want to leave so she hid from her Mom, and she got in trouble. But kids shouldn't hide from their Mom and Dad, cause it makes them sad and scared if they can't find them." (She cheered up a lot when I told her she would see her friend on Sunday)
It really made me want to go camping seeing the tent up. I started talking to Lilli about camping a year or so ago just because I loved it so much growing up and I wanted her to get excited about it. Sure enough, she did! She has still never been (due to our ward camp out getting cancelled last year due to bad weather), but oh is she ready for those hot dogs for dinner and S'mores for breakfast (I tried to tell her pancakes and bacon were the best, but she was insistent that s'mores were for breakfast!)

Lilli turned five last week! She is a fun little girl and can really be a big help. She originally requested a sleeping beauty cake, but then decided a pink angel food cake would be acceptable.
The other night we were sitting there looking out one of the bedroom windows and she noticed one of the neighbors was going somewhere, she asked me where I thought they were going. I said maybe they were going to a movie, or dinner, or a football game, or baseball game.  She said: They are going to a movie first, then a football game, then a baseball game, then dinner. And then they are having a sleepover!
Eric went on a drive up north one one of his days off to scout out where he wants to get his deer here in a couple of months. (He also stopped by a shooting range in the area to get in a little black powder action) Apparently the pickings are MUCH better here then in Pennsylvania. He actually saw tracks so chances are he will at least get a shot in. And better yet, bring one home!

Gorgeous area isn't it?
It's super close to Adam-Ondi-Ahman. One of these days we will actually drive up there with the whole family and tour the whole area.
As much as we loved Jared's sweet little curls we decided it was time he looked like a little boy.
He did really well, I held him and Eric cut his hair with his electric clippers...or whatever they are called. I think Jared actually enjoyed it! Maybe it gave him a nice scalp massage!!

Yep. Due March 11th. When I went to my OB this past week I mentioned I'd had terrible morning sickness nothing like before. They said it could be a sign there was more then one baby..(gulp) So we did a quick ultra sound right there and (sigh of relief)it was just one (very large) baby. It's already measuring a week ahead in size. But that's normal considering my history! The doctor said it wouldn't surprise her if baby ended up being 11+ lbs. Our regular mid term ultra sound is scheduled for next month so we can find out what it is then..if it cooperates!
