Just Chillin'

Our life is starting to take on a semblance of order again...sort of! Lilli has finally realized (and partially accepted!) that she isn't the only object of our affection! She is actually very protective of her little sister, we were out running errands today and this little girl kept getting up in Carmen's face as she sat in her car seat and clapping her hands really loud. Carmen was of course sleeping and oblivious to it all. Lilli on the other hand kept pointing and yelling at the little girl..I think she was trying to say "leave my sister alone!" It was pretty cute.
Carmen has had a much better night schedule the past few nights much to my relief. Over the weekend, I think it was friday night (it's all a blur!) I got about an hour of sleep due to a very colicky baby...but then saturday, sunday night and last night Carmen woke up only twice promptly 2:30 and 5. Now I can handle that!
Carmen is actually staying awake in the evenings now for the most part! She has these totally gorgeous big blue eyes. She is so completely different from Lilli, but I see a lot of similarities too. Carmen will lay on the couch and be happy as long as she can hear what's going on, voices, etc. She hates having cold feet. It's a sure bet that if she starts crying it's because she kicked her blanket off her feet. I found a cute pair of booties that she can't get off and that has been a lifesaver. She loves snuggling up on your shoulder and chest. What a sweet girl!

Lilli is such a Daddy's girl! This is one of Eric's most favorite positions for tv!
Recently we obtained several new toys (new to us!) Lilli is actually still light enough for the swing so she has been having a lot of fun with it. Except when she gets frustrated because she locks herself in behind the tray and can't get it off! She absolutely loves the bike, but she won't use the pedals. It's pretty funny to watch her "walk" herself around the house!

I have been craving caramel popcorn for several days so today I decided to actually make some. The recipe I found was oh so delicious so I'm sharing it!

Caramel Popcorn
The only thing I did different was bake for 45 minutes and stir three times rather then 1 hour and stir 4 times like the recipe says.

It is so hard to have a new baby! Sometimes I'm in awe that I kept having them! Lots of hard work. But oh so very worth it! I hope it keeps getting easier and that Carmen will start sleeping even longer at night! Lilli is so pretty. These two girls will be such good friends! ♥

I always knew every child was different. But it was amazing to actually see it. And I saw it so much earlier than I thought I would.
